CROSS-DISCIPLINARY PRACTICE
Interior Architect
Curator
Art & Design Consultant
CULTURAL STRATEGIST · CREATIVE CONNECTOR
For over two decades, Marta Valea has built a transversal practice across interior architecture, art, design, fine contemporary craft and curatorial culture. Her trajectory moves from spatial design and galleries to collectible design, cultural projects and international art programmes, with a particular interest in material culture, conscious luxury and the emotional value of objects.
From Mondo Galería and Caotics to art programmes for Royal Caribbean and Silversea, her work has consistently connected creators, ideas and spaces through a cross-disciplinary perspective that challenges conventions, reframes perceptions and transforms spaces through unexpected connections.
The origin of a
curatorial language
MONDO GALERÍA
MADRID'S FIRST GALLERY DEDICATED TO CONTEMPORARY DESIGN
From 2012 to 2018, Marta Valea co-directed Mondo Galería in Madrid, leading its design programme and championing Spanish design at a moment when the field had little dedicated visibility. The gallery created dialogues between photography, art, design and objects, while two parallel spaces extended that approach into experimental environments where emerging Spanish creativity could be discovered, experienced and collected.
These spaces became the early laboratory of what would later evolve into Caotics — a cross-disciplinary universe built around creators, collectible objects and the power of curation to transform space. What began as an instinctive way of connecting disciplines gradually became a distinct curatorial language.

CAOTICSINTERNATIONAL ART PROGRAMMES
Art at the scale of
architecture
ROYAL CARIBBEAN · CELEBRITY CRUISES · SILVERSEA
For five years, Marta Valea worked with ICArt on large-scale art programmes for some of the world's most ambitious new cruise ships across Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Silversea.
Working with an international network of artists, galleries and creative specialists, she managed commissioned and site-specific artworks conceived in direct dialogue with architecture and interior design — from artist research and selection to development, production and delivery.
The experience brought together art, spatial thinking and complex international project management, transforming each ship into a cultural environment where artworks were conceived not as decoration, but as an integral part of the architecture and guest experience.
